Hotel Suggestions in San Juan

We have a cruise booked out of San Juan in October and are looking for hotel suggestions. We have points for Marriott, Westin and Hyatt - so if there are any of those, we would prefer to use our points. Thanks for any info you can give us -

The Marriott Spa and Stellaris Casino in Condado is nice. Have stayed there many times right on the beach. There are stores (Walgreens and liquor) as well as many restaurants within walking distance. We plan on staying here with points in April 2014 for the Summit Repositioning cruise to Bayonne.

I used points to stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Isla Verde. [near the airport.] It is a nice beach area. We enjoyed it.

We will be staying at La Concha Renaissance in January. We based it on the good reviews we found on it. It will be our first time in San Juan so I can't give you much more information on it.

 

If you do use Marriott, the only thing you need to figure out is if its worth the extra 5,000 points between category 5 and 6 or the extra 5,00 points to go from Category 6 to 7 and where you want to stay in San Juan.

We had points for the Intercontinental Hotel at Isle Verde and it was fantastic. The service was top notch and the bed and linen was so very comfortable.
