Whitechapel girl Posted July 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2013 Hi looking to see if we can book via US travel agent, at the moment Celebrity prices seem to have gone up considerably (well they have on the cruise we want to do!). Is this possible?
excitedofharpenden Posted July 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2013 Yes you can. Find a US travel agent that is willing to deal with UK customers. Phil
Circusboy354 Posted July 9, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2013 Hi, yes you can. This is our 9th cruise and we've booked 8 of those with US agents. If you are happy getting the best price and just need to basically book a cruise there is a site I have used where agents compete for your business by offering onboard credit to win your business. I have used this site for most of our cruises and once had average service and the rest had excellent service. If you would like more traditional service from a TA in USA you can search for one of the many great cruise agents.
speedwell Posted July 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 9, 2013 I've used a US agent this year with no problems. One advantage is that you should get the benefit of any price reductions more easily than if you booked with a UK agent. One disadvantage is the current exchange rate. The site where you put in your intended cruise, cabin category etc and then wait for offers from US agents seems good and I may well use it for next year's cruise. Tiggertastic Posted July 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2013 We have a USA agent, do compare as they are not always the best deal so sometimes wecusecthem and sometimes we don't We also came across some agents from a very well known vacations website on our last cruise and they gave us a direct extension number to try stating they have lots of uk customers so will give them a go too Would love to know who the comparison one is though

Is this possible? Yes, as long as you arrange your own air. Book cruise only.
