mlrm Posted July 29, 2013 #26 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Had the same thing happen to me. Last cruise my wife and I got to know the pit bosses and casino host. We chatted and joked around with them frequently and let them know we wanted to be rated. Low and behold on our upcoming cruise this month we received a great rate, cash at the cage, and drinks on us cards as soon as we board. It seems that the pit bosses are the ones that can screw you by being lazy.[/quoteI see your headed out on the Pride soon. I was wondering if you could tell me who the Casino Hosts are and the names of some of the pit bosses when you return? I just want to know who is still on the ship from last summer if any of them. We are leaving August 25th on the Pride Hosts name is Hani. Very nice woman.

Kimster Posted August 1, 2013 #28 Share Posted August 1, 2013 Also, someone mentioned emailing. Can you give us the email address? This is Mike Boyona's email address - MBayona@carnival.com
Paddy41 Posted August 2, 2013 #29 Share Posted August 2, 2013 This is Mike Boyona's email address - MBayona@carnival.com Thanks I'll try it. I tried a phone number I was given for him but although it has many menu options none of them are to put in an extension number. Weird.
rok233 Posted August 4, 2013 Author #30 Share Posted August 4, 2013 Since I started this thread I figured it's only fair I give an update. I spoke with Marty, the casino VIP coordinator who was very helpful. Even though I was completely overlooked and not properly rated she went out of her way to help me. After explaining my situation she made some calls and got back to me with a reasonable offer (considering what she had to work with). The original offer for my August cruise still stands. However, she sent me a list of Premier cruises to choose from and one actually works for me (November 10th on the Legend) because my sister is getting married in Naples on November 9th. I receive 35% off the cruise, $350 casino cash, drinks on us card, priority boarding, etc. If I'm properly rated on my August cruise I'm sure I'll receive and even better offer but I really appreciate the effort she put in. It doesn't have anything to do with the money for me, it's all about being treated fairly and most importantly CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I'm really glad to hear that they came back to you with a much better offer. As you said, it isn't about the money, it's about being treated fairly. That sort of thing bothers me more than anything. I emailed Mike using the email posted on here but I haven't received a reply. Probably won't. But I have never gambled near what you have. I'm so glad you got something from Carnival.
