Cannes Beach Options

Hi Everyone,

I will be traveling on the Celebrity Equinox and be in Cannes on Sept 3rd. We are looking for a low key stop since the next few stops will be very busy for us. It seems like from reading about Cannes its easy to just walk around the area to see what we need to see. We would like to spend a few hours at a beach. I see that their are private and public beaches available.

Does anyone have any advice on how to look for the right beach?

Should we just walk around and find something that looks nice?

Anybody had a must go place that they recommend? We don't mind spending a little bit of money for a private beach if offers more privacy and amendities than a public one.

Go to a private beach. Just walk along La Croisette, look at menus and facilities and pick one. Can't go wrong.

There is a nice sandy free beach located a short walk from the tender pier in Cannes. Just walk towards your left as you leave the parking lot adjacent to the tender area keeping the water on your left....and you will quickly spot this beach. There are plenty of cafes/restaurants within a couple of blocks of this beach (many face the Marina) and we ourselves have spent time on this beach (Plage du Midi). Of course you could walk the opposite direction into the heart of Cannes where the beach is certainly more famous...and has facilities. But this beach is pricy. Since all of this is walkable you might want to first walk around, check out the situation, and make your choice.

Totally agree. The free beach is very nice if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Check out the possibilities and see where you feel the most comfortable.
