charw20 Posted July 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2013 We are thinking if taking the cruise to nowhere that deports from Norfolk, Va. Does anone know what the weather would be like? Like, would it be too cold to be lounging by the pool?

Vitamin_Sea Posted July 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Oh, that may be important, Oct 18. Depends...about 45-65 degrees probably. Gonna be chilly for the pool
NCTribeFan Posted July 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2013 I did it. Somewhere I have a link to my short review. I think if you click my name, then the statistics tab you can then click on the Threads Started by me and find it easily. I think there must've been a storm down south because I'm pretty sure we ended up sailing NE from Norfolk, turned around and headed back. It was sunny but so cool you needed a sweatshirt/jacket out on the pool deck. And we had some rough seas (we were on Triumph). If you end up sailing SE rather than NE, it could be considerably warmer. But I don't think there's any way to know where you'll sail and no way to know what to expect, weather-wise. I personally wouldn't do it again. I really just did it so I'd be Platinum on my next cruise a couple of months later (Miracle 8-nights to Panama, Costa Rica & Belize with an aft balcony). It's an expensive cruise for what you get. I do like sailing out of Norfolk, though. Sailed Glory to Bermuda a couple of years ago.
