Cap Libert - NYC transporation

Hi, planning a trip April 2013 with Explorer OTS leaving Cap Liberty, and hoping to spend 2 days after cruise in NYC sightseeing. My questions:

 

1. I am assuming flying in and out from EWR would be the way to go?

2. after disembarkation, what is the most economcial and efficient way for a family of 4 with luggages to get to NYC/a midtown hotel?

3. Same question for getting from NYC to EWR on departure date ?

EWR is most likely your best bet, but if there are significantly lower fares into LGA or JFK, don't rule them out, particularly because you're staying in NY City for a couple of days after the cruise.

 

Most efficient and most economical ground transportation options are likely to produce two different answers. My personal preference for traveling between Cape Liberty and Manhattan and then Manhattan to EWR would be by car service. You can try these for rate quotes:
