jarand Posted July 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2013 We will be in Seward and Homer next week. Any suggestions for salmon fishing? Ideally we'd rent equipment and go river fly fishing. Unfortunately we can only squeeze in a half day, but we do have a car. Thanks.
Suzanne123 Posted July 25, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2013 My DH has gone out with these guides a couple times in Cooper Landing and had great luck, but we saw lots of people fishing from shore. http://www.alaskawildland.com/day-fishing-and-rafting-trips.htm You could stop for lunch at the Kenai Princess. http://www.princesslodges.com/kenai-lodge.cfm
Assateague Island Princes Posted July 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2013 In early June of this year when we were in Homer, my DH did a guided walk-in fishing trip w/Gary from Silverfin Guiding services. He was fortunate enough to get a jack King Salmon, which we grilled up for dinner that night! DH really enjoyed the experience, I think it was a 4 hour trip on the Anchor River. LeadfootCJ7 Posted July 25, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2013 My wife and I did a Halibut and Salmon fishing trip with Mutley Crew (Dave) out of Homer. He was great. It was just the 2 of us so we got to do whatever we wanted for as long as we wanted. I would highly recomend him.
