Painting on luggage.................help

On The Run

Recommended Posts

I have heard so much about the different ways to identify BLACK luggage.

I read that some folks painted pictures and all, that I can do, but, what

kind of paint do you use if not in a spray can.

Waiting for some information......................

I go to the fabric store and find the ugliest wide ribbon they have. I tie a long piece of the ugly ribbon to at least two places on each suitcase. The ribbon I currently have is bright yellow and orange in a horrible harliquin pattern. Trust me, I can pick my bags out of any pile of luggage.....I just keep scanning until I shudder....then I know I have seen that ribbon!! :D

Remember, all of the luggage will be lined up, so it is best to find something that sticks out from the handle if you are wanting to identify it easier. They line them up side to side so if yours is wedged in, you won't be able to see the sides of it very easily.

I bought my Mom a set of Hot Pink luggage for Christmas. It was very affordable and I doubt too many people will have this color. After our last cruise, finding our luggage was so time consuming. I tie ribbons to mine and add sparkley luggage tags also.

I saw this recently on an HGTV show:

Thought it was a cute idea, but way too "crafty" for me!

How complicated can it be? This is as repetitive as coffee threads !

This info may be repetitive to some but to others it is very useful, if you have all the answers, why do you continue to read posts that you already know the answers to?

We also got tired of looking for our black luggage, so my husband got wide silver duck tape and ran a strip all around the outsides of all each piece, and we had not trouble at all picking them out, and we can remove the tape and replace it anytime it gets worn or shabby, or if we ever find any glow in the dark red!

"

.......if you have all the answers why do you continue to read posts to which you know all the answers " is the correct way to say what you attempted, as a preposition is something you should not end a sentence with !

I do not and never will know all the answers just making an observation !

I run a stripe of duct tape around the sides with a thin colored strip in the center so I can see it from any side and put a big silver X on front and back (in honor of Celebrity) so I can find it more easily. I wish there were some other material that would stick to the fabric bagsor the old fashioned travel stckers from hotels or cruise lines.

For those of you who do not paint, go to a craft store and go to the paint section. They have markers that have paint in them. This makes the whole mess alot easier. The one I have is called "Painters" Medium. They are by Hunt. This is a simple way to mark anything cloth. Lots of colors. Good luck

ROFLMAO

The only "craft" I know just lost his bling bling to President Putin:D

Please, I am not making fun of you, I have friends that do wonderful things with crafty stuff. Maybe they will tell me where the craft store is :D

Actually, I got these types of paint markers at Wally world (walmart).

If you have a Hobby Lobby they would have them also.

I think a big skull and cross bones would be great to keep peoples hands off your luggage. What do you think?

The simple way to make sure your bags are separated is to put a small amount of marijuana or hashish in each one. Someone will come along and put your bags in a special room for you. You will even receive a personal escort to retrieve them. The downside to this is that you might miss your flight home by three to five years.

If you don't want all that special attention, just go to your parents or grandparents and borrow their 60's style really ugly hardsided luggage. It will stand out like a sore thumb. An added bonus is that any thief seeing such luggage will immediately assume you are too impoverished to have anything of value, and move on to more lucrative targets.

;) :)
