Whimzy! Posted August 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 3, 2013 I had hoped it wouldn't be this expensive, but I know I can drink more than $44 in a 24 hour period, especially including coffee, mimosas, bloody Mary's, water, margaritas, and lemoncello...just to start. It's only about 6 drinks that cost $7.00 each. Everything after that is all free!

DavidMcG Posted August 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 3, 2013 Sorry bit of a newbie and will be going on my first cruise next year. 1. I will be on Divina going from Miami on 22/02 - what of the above packages are included on this cruise? 2. I booked my cruise through a travel agents, and I am able to log into my account on the MSC website with my booking number etc, however it is very limited. Only shows excursions for 2 of the ports and doesn't have details of any of the drinks packages or any of the other extras? They are there but when I click on them it says nothing is available. I'm very confused  how do I go about booking one?

Hi David, This information was released last week and we are currently working to have all of the packages listed loaded to the online reservation area. We are hoping to have this completed shortly. If you would like to book now, you can contact your travel agent who can call in to your local MSC office and book via the reservation department. Please keep in mind that if you book via telephone, the package must be paid for immediately; however, if you book via online, this is not charged until you arrive onboard the vessel. Happy sailings! soccerpapi Posted August 5, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted August 5, 2013 Dear MSC USA, Thanks again for answering our questions in the Cruise Critic forums, we appreciate it. I am looking forward to my cruise on the MSC DIVINA in December 2013. I have a question for you. With the Allegrissimo Premium package, it lists room service is included, please see below: Allegrissimo Premium – All Inclusive 24 hours Providing the ultimate in choices, the ALLEGRISSIMO PREMIUM offers unlimited consumption of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine (from the “by the glass” menu), draft and bottled beers, soft drinks, mineral water, hot drinks and all bar drinks (including champagne cocktails, single malt whiskies, superior brandies and other premium spirits), minibar drinks and mineral water in cabin, plus all selections from the „Gelateria. menu, Pastry Shop and Room Service menu. Drinks included can be consumed in all bars and restaurants, including the à la carte restaurants and themed venues. Adult package is $57.00 per day; kid package is $28.50 per day. For the Caribbean cruises departing from Miami, does this include some things from the room service menu that are not included for other passengers? Does it possibly waive the late night delievery fee? Thank you for your help and kind consideration. soccer

While room service is complimentary in the Caribbean, if it is late night, a small nominal fee (usually around $3.00) will be added for the late delivery. It is the same room service menu as well for those guests who do not purchase the Allegrissimo package. Regards,
twinsmom310 Posted August 9, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 9, 2013 When it says that everyone in cabin must purchase a package, does that mean the same package? I don't drink, but husband does.
AmoMondo Posted August 9, 2013 #12 Share Posted August 9, 2013 When it says that everyone in cabin must purchase a package, does that mean the same package? I don't drink, but husband does. Yes it has to be the same package if you are looking at Allegrissimo or Cheers. If you are pre booking a beer voucher package or one for soft drinks, then no. You just buy the number and type of voucher book you want.
nowaysis Posted August 12, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 12, 2013 MSC USA Could you please advise me if Allegrissimo standard/basic package will be available for our Repo cruise departing Venice 2nd November 2013 There seems to be a break down with MSC UK, they keep telling me that I can only purchase the Premium package because the cruise is governed by MSC USA, yet there are people on our cruise that have bought the standard package at £18pppd Once again I find my self frustrated at not only being told our itinerary as been changed for no real reason, but I am being told that I can't have what so many over people has got Which seems simply down to the fact no one knows what is what! So if you could let me know I would appreciate it very much, thank you....

sidari Posted August 12, 2013 #15 Share Posted August 12, 2013 So far it has been impossible to book anything via the UK website regarding drink packages, the response from the I.T. people is that they are working on it! how difficult can it be to add them? In response to what "nowaysis" has asked, so far it has taken over 14 days to try to obtain a reply as to what they were told.

In response to what "nowaysis" has asked, so far it has taken over 14 days to try to obtain a reply as to what they were told. Hi Sidari- I am reaching out to my contact and hoping to hear from them possibly tomorrow. I do know that the Allegrissimo package is not available on our USA site and our web marketing department is working on gettin them loaded; however, you can book this through your travel agent by having them call MSC UK directly or if you booked directly with MSC UK, you can call them yourself and they can assist with the package. As soon as I hear back regarding the selling of Allegrissimo classic I will update all of you. Thank you for your patience while I look into this. sidari Posted August 12, 2013 #17 Share Posted August 12, 2013 MSC USA ... Thanks for the reply which we knew about, however some people prefer to book online due to the fact that it is classed as onboard spend and so qualifies towards the number of points awarded for the MSC club. Booking via the travel agent or direct with MSC UK does not do this as i am sure the same applies to the N.A market.

Our web marketing has not given us a date as to when it will be available online. In order to get the points towards MSC Club, may I recommend that you book once you are onboard. (should the package not be added to the website.) The Allegrissimo packages will be available for purchase onboard the ship as well. papcx Posted August 13, 2013 #23 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Correct, if booked onboard, you will incur the 15% service charge. Regards, So not the best advice then! I'm confused as to why MSC do this? We have choices of:- Pay as fare - loose MSC Points. Pay a TA - loose MSC points. Pay on board - get more MSC points but pay more which probably counteracts the value of the points. Why doesn't MSC load the deals to the website for all itineraries. On the other hand it's good to have an official MSC presence on these boards and fair play to MSC USA for answering our questions.

Hi Papcx, I do understand your concerns, thus the reasoning we have the option to book via online on our consumer site; however, things are still getting established on the website and being added. Unfortunately, some items are still not added to the consumer site yet. Your comments are continously being monitored for future improvements and enhancements.
