Since when have upscale drinks and better entertainment become "odd"? Or quiet areas? Or healthy food? Perhaps the author should now write "The oddest article about cruising". This article would be the subject.

Keep in mind that this article was written for the general public. Most of us on CC are in-the-know on cruise trends and themes.

So while we may be rolling our eyes, there are lots of people out there who will find this article to be informative.

You do have a point, but noting crafted cocktails and organic food as two of the ten 'new' innovations would make even a general public non-cruiser look somewhere else for a vacation experience. This article makes cruising sound like family camp just got air-conditioning in the bunkhouse.
