Nachi will be great for adults wanting a quiet day.

My brothers kids (4 at the time) were bored just playing in the sand and pool there. (DW and I are going for our fifth trip there in April.)

Playa Mia will have everything you are looking for except, just decent shore snorkeling.

The only one with waterslides and a huge kiddie pool.

You just need to decide if you just want park admission or lunch thrown in.

Chankanaab will have the best shore snorkeling (by far) but will not have the waterslides and kiddie pools that Playa Mia has...

But it does have dolphin swims and mantee swims, etc. on site.

Paradise Beach has inflatable toys in the water and a pool and the cheapest admission. But no slides or kiddie pools and not good shore snorkeling.

That is the beauty of Cozumel, there is a beach club for everybody..

You just need to decide what is most important to you and your group.

Waterparks for the kids. - Playa Mia, hands down...

Beach and swimming in the ocean. - Playa Mia or Paradise Beach

Pool and swimming in the pool. Any of the clubs.

Snorkeling..- Chankanaab, hands down...

Or just the cheapest day... - Paradise Beach..

To me $25 for kids and $30 for adults at Playa Mia, for just park admission is a great deal. (you can buy food and drinks as you want.)

You'll have to pay cab fare to get to any club or park.

Hope that helps....

With children that age, I would suggest Playa Mia. The new waterpark and pool with slides area they have now is just amazing. The kids would love it. The rest of the place is nice too.

We just went a little less than 2 months ago and since then, they have added a complete ocean "park" too:

I did a complete review with tons of pictures. You can click on it in my signature line. (Just make sure you go to the coresponding # post as it states it's in. Some people don't have their forum post set the same as mine, so you may have to look for it).

Thanks so much for all the info...helped out tons...

I think we decided on Playa Mia... I'm sure the boys will forget about snorkeling when they see the water park..

From what I read. It seems like it would be best to not get the Buffett and pick we we want. So will just go with the Pakistan admission.

Two questions: rough idea on taxi cost to Playa Mia from dock,

And is there an additional cost for the waterpark...

Thanks again

Need to know which one of the 3 piers you are docking at...to give you an idea of cab price.

From what I've read, the kiddie pools and slides are included in admission.

The price differences are if you want lunch or drinks thrown in.

Does Playa Mia provide life vest or would we need to bring our own? Or would you recommend we bring our own?

Thanks!

Cyndi

I'm not sure and did not see anyone with life vest on that day. There was only a handful of people there the day we went and we brought our own (as we always do for snorkeling for our little one even though she can swim). So, if you have your own, I would bring it.

You could probably email Playa Mia and ask them if they have them. :)
