upgrade to concierge?

Hello all,
Is the concierge service worth it? Have never had it before. Also which room would be best to book for a cat.. 2A? Maybe 1A would be better in the center of the ship?

I think it depends on how much more they want for the upgrade. For our upcoming Century cruise the price was only a little more than what we were already paying for a Cat 5 ocean view, so we jumped on it.

On the Century you get better bedding, including pillows, flowers in room, binoculars, better bathrobes, welcome champagne, priority embarkation and debarkation, canapes, fruit, leather card holder, umbrella, stationary, tote bag, bath rugs, oversized bath towels, improved shower head, and probably a few more I can't think of right now.

The answer depends on what's important to you.

On the M-class ships, CC is on deck 9 and therefore even though there are some nice benefits with CC (go to the Celebrity web site for a complete list) I'm not interested because there's a large overhang over the balconies and it's immediately under deck 10 with the pool and the buffet and the spa. Too many people have complained about the noise (although others have said it's fine). (I always try to book cabins the are between other passenger decks.)

The situation may be different on non M-class ships.

But, many people have liked CC cabins so you have to decide for yourself.

Happy sailing!

I got a free upgrade to CC on Galaxy this past April. While spouse and I enjoyed the extras, I don't think I would pay a couple hundred per person more just to get the CC treatment. The bedding upgrade was our favorite perk. If you have found beds about X ships less than ideal, you may find the CC class beds worth the extra price.

If you book a concierge class do you get to use the Thallasotherapy pool for free? Just wondering on the Century did you find the concierge class worth the extra $.

Unfortunately, it is not one of the CC perks.

It is one of the Elite Captain's Club benefits, tho.

JUST ENJOYED OUR FIRST Concierge Class; would never go any other way; we were truly pampered. We were on Deck 9 - the Constellation. There were no problems with noise, nor with motion, even though the cabin was forward. The overhang on the balcony is ideal; keeps the soot and dirt off and really doesn't limit the sun that much.

There isn't on the M-Class, but there is on the C-Class.
