first answer yourself what would you like to do: Water, Culture, Party and alcohol, Sight Seeing or all in one!!

There are so many things you can do here and time is not an issue!!!

Not sure where your are cruising from, but Coz is on central time, so if you are leaving from FLA you actually arrive at 10:00 Coz time. With no tenders to worry about you have lots of time to do what you want - snorkeling? Beach? Shopping? Dolphin swim? Scuba?

Coz is an island so most of the activities are water oriented. Let the board members know what interests you and we can offer more specific advice.

Good luck! :)

A part of me wants to do exploring and take in the culture as much as I can and another part of me wants to do the sip a drink on the beach thing...I'M SO CONFUSED! Lol! I just don't want it to be me running around trying to do this and do that and not really enjoy being there... and at the end of the day sit back and think to myself what did I really get out of today. I just need 2 days in port to get it all in..I WISH! :D

What are your other ports on the cruise....?

For culture, if you want to see Mayan ruins, Costa Maya or Belize are much better.

For the widest variety of beach clubs, Cozumel can't be beat anywhere in the Caribbean.

Also one of the best shopping ports too.

Here are the links to the various beach clubs I have...

Nachi Cocum - my personal favorite.. AI, 100 person limit, very peaceful and quiet. (great for adult couples looking for a relaxing day)

Mr. Sanchos - right next door to Nachi- AI or not, a little more lively with music playing and livelier crowd.

Playa Mia - right near Mr. Sanchos - great for kids with waterslides, large kiddie pool, adult pools, etc...

Paradise Beach - no admission, but must buy $10 food pp to use beach chairs, pool etc.. Water toys for kids...

http://www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com/

Chankanaab Park, great shore snorkeling, pool, dolphin excursions, etc..

http://www.cozumelparks.com/

Money Bar - free- great shore snorkeling, but no beach or other amenities.

http://www.moneybarbeachclub.com/

Many other beach clubs to choose from.

Literally a club for every taste and budget.

Hope that gets you started.

We went to dolphin discovery and the fee for swim includes a tour of chakanaab park. It was great. We took a cab there and back. You can just but admission for the park if you would like too. The guide was excellent and provided us alot of information about the Mayans, he was a Mayan.

If you want to swim with the dolphins or the manatees ( we swam with them) you can make a reservation online for the time you would like. The cost is MUCH cheaper then booking with the cruise line.

Chakanaab park is lovely if you like to snorkel. We did the dolphin/manatee experience there and had a fun time, and everyone was great, and it was a once in a lifetime thing, but... I am still not sure it was worth the price. :)

Afterward, we took a cab to Pescaderia and had an amazing cheap seafood dinner (2 meals plus 2 alcoholic drinks for about $20). It is out of the touristy area and there were several locals there. The owner insisted on showing us his fresh fish (grouper) after we ate, and was the definition of friendly. We probably paid as much for the cab (there and back) as for the meal, but I would totally do it again if I were in Cozumel.

Not much culture in Coz -- you can tour to the mainland to see some of the Mayan ruins, but that involves a ferry ride to Playa del Carmen and then a bus making for a LONG DAY.

I would check out some of the links provided above and pick the beach club that seems to fit your desires. Good luck! :)
