For cruise parking packages that include a shuttle both to the port and the return shuttle back to your car, many suggest these hotels located in the Rocky Point area: Holiday Inn, Tahitian Inn, Hampton Inn and Chase Suites.

DH and I have stayed twice pre-cruise at the Holiday Inn Express Rocky Point-Tampa. We like their cruise pkg because it offers a round trip port shuttle. Some of the cruise pkg hotels only offer it one way and then you are responsible for paying for the trip back -via- taxi or addl cost for the shuttle....... so keep this in mind when checking out hotels.

 

In addition to the Holiday Inn RP, there is also the Hampton Rocky Point and Chase Suites Rocky Point. Unless there has been a recent chage, all three of these hotels offer a park & cruise with the round trip shuttle, plus a complimentry breakfast..... not a deal breaker but still nice.

 

All three hotels are located in an upscale area of Tampa near the airport. It is about a 15 min shuttle ride to the port. Also, the hotels overlook the Bay so it is kind of nice to have a water view. There is a Bahama Breeze restaurant located between the three hotels. The restaurant offers water view deck dining and bands that play on some evenings.

 

 

**** just a tip.... book early as Jan is high season and the hotels fill up quickly.
