Miss Jolly Posted August 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Despite my oncologist encouraging me to holiday, I cannot find any insurance company here in Australia or in the USA who will give me pre-existing medical condition coverage for my metastatic breast cancer. We would love to visit friends throughout the US and Canada and also cruise Fort Lauderdale to LA via South America. This can't happen without travel insurance so can anyone please help me with advice?
Rare Hlitner Posted August 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2013 That is a tough situation. We do have some decent insurance companies, in the USA, that will generally cover pre-existing conditions (but they usually require to purchase the policy within a very short time (sometimes 24 hours) after booking your trip). But I have no idea if they would agree to insure anyone from outside of the USA. You might contact CSI Travel Insurance http://www.csatravelprotection.com/ and ask the question. We have used this company in the past and actually had to file a claim that was quickly settled to our satisfaction. Hank
