angelndscz Posted August 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Has anyone ever heard of this. This is being advertised on my military base, but I have never heard of it. Here are the details: Port of Departure: Cape Canaveral "Your price is now only $175 per couple and includes round-trip transportation for 2, Saturday's casnio cruise for 2, dinner for 2 aboard the ship, $10 in slot play for 2, stay for 2 at the Country Inn & Suites with a voucher for a FREE full breakfast, Sunday's day casnio cruise for 2 and lunch for 2 aboard the ship!" They are trying to get 26 people to sign up and my troop asked me about this because she has never been on a cruise. Looks like a day cruise to me, not a real cruise. So am I correct, this is just a casino ship to go out and play at the casino.

tree.critter Posted August 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2013 This will probably be moved soon as this ship has nothing to do with the major lines, that being said.... I'll share what I can. This is a fun way to spend the day or evening. We make the drive down to PC once in awhile just to get out on the ocean and we enjoy the Victory Casino cruise very much. Not sure of their complete schedule but I know they go out twice a day on Sundays, we usually go out early. The buffet they serve surprised the heck out of me the first time. I remember thinking that I wish Carnival had some of the same items on their buffet. The thing that's surprising me is the price you are being offered. For $50 you can get the exact same promotion for TWO that covers cruise, buffet, $10.00 each for slot play, 2 free drinks. They had live music both on the top deck...... steel drum!! and keyboard and guitarist. I go for the fun of being on the ocean and we danced the day away. A big round of bingo and what seemed to me a fairly extensive group of slots and table games. I was up to $38 on my free slot play the last time and decided I'd hang at the machine for a free drink.... which they are quite generous with while gambling.... but my money went to nearly zero before she was back with my drink. Still got it though:) I'm not sure if this link will work but it's current Groupon offer that they run regularly, just picked up tix again last week so we can go out again. On Sunday afternoon as we come in we crossed paths with 3 regular cruise ships, was kind of fun seeing them head out as we headed in. I'll help with any additional questions..... rent a car for the day though and save yourself some money, it's certainly a great way to spend the day or evening. Just reread your post and what was included..... not bad for TWO cruises AND hotel too. http://www.groupon.com/deals/victory-casino-cruise-14?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US_DT_SEA_GGL_TXT_TTT_SR_CBP_CH1_NBR_k*victory%20casino%20cruise_m*e_d*US-RTC-Jacksonville_g*victory-casino-cruise-14_c*24995374456_ap*1t1_sa*20130118_ea*20151019_xa*20131022
RuthlessBoss Posted August 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2013 If it includes all of what you listed, with room and 2 gambling days, it sounds good.
RuthlessBoss Posted August 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2013 If you go, you might cross paths with Carnival Dream and a Disney. On Sunday, it's Carnival Sensation, Disney Dream and Freedom. If you use the webcam for Port Canaveral, you might see the gambling boat on the right side of the channel as the ships go out. If you use the webcam, 3 ships are getting ready to sail right now (4 p.m.)

Then, they take you out again on the Sunday cruise. So, basically, it is 2 five hour gambling cruises with a night in Port Canaveral thrown in. $10 in slot play doesn't go far on those types of ships. Just something I can't do, they do have penny slots though too..... that would be about my speed.

I've seen penny machines with up to a $5 per play bet.
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted August 8, 2013 #10 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Just received THIS offer a couple days ago (from Slotplaycoupons.com). We've purchased coupons through this place a few times for our NCL sailings. Tom
