UKCruiseJeff Posted June 29, 2014 Author #1351 Share Posted June 29, 2014 There's also that famous Bacon painting of Muriel. When she died I think it passed to staff to run for a while Just googled the picture. !
Mr Luxury Posted June 29, 2014 #1352 Share Posted June 29, 2014 It was the manager. But there was also a bit of an effort to restart it when it stopped for a while i think. I often use to wonder whether Bacon only ever painted after a heavy session at Muriel's. Who would have thought that we would drink with the two people that have painted the most expensive paintings ever auctioned. Who do you remember from there? I'm slightly younger than you Jeff Emin and Hirst used to pop in Isabella blow,George Melly Suggs from Madness and Jefferey of course

I don't really like popcorn, If I had to choose it would be salty rather than sweet. What's wrong with beluga a blini and sour cream?

Not a great lover of popcorn either but I'd prefer sweet:rolleyes: Nowt wrong with beluga et al although I'm a cheapskate and would rather have smoked salmon with the blini as a wee canapé.... UKCruiseJeff Posted June 30, 2014 Author #1359 Share Posted June 30, 2014 (edited) Well .... we have had a bizarre few Ocado days. I do the cooking so I do the Ocado! A few days ago I was looking through the new products and put them into most expensive order first to see what indulgences had been added, Nothing really. So I put the order the other way to see what bargains they had. It showed up some sirloins and kofta kebabs at 1p a pack - the sirloins being two thick steaks in each. So I did the right thing and added two packs of each to to all future orders, Only eat 30 day dry aged rib, but this would be great for a Chinese beef teriyaki stir fry, and I'll see what the kofta is like .... only a 1p! I think what had happened, was I was shopping at 1 am and one department loaded the product whilst another was due to price it so I just saw it in between! Ocado called yesterday and said they'd been an error. So they won't deliver the stuff. We had a laugh they apologised and they sent me a £5 voucher. Today all the stuff that they said wouldn't arrive, arrived. So essentially they are paying me £5 for eating £40 worth of their stuff. And actually the steaks don't look that bad, thick sirloins so I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and grill one pack and teriyaki the other. A 1/2p per sirloin isn't bad and it doesn't make me a bad person ..... Happy days. :) Edited June 30, 2014 by UKCruiseJeff

I have porridge for breakfast then nothing until dinner which often consists of just fish and a salad. I have cut out the red meat and bread and pasta. I have lost nearly three stone (42 pounds) in six months. I also go to the gym four times a week. There, that's shocked everyone. When I have to attend a dinner I eat well but sensibly these days. I allow myself one great meal a week with wine. I also have a hectic work schedule and run a busy company.

If they can't get their act together then why should you do their job for them for no pay.

It's different and was the product of an over-active imagination! Apple Strudel + Baklava = Baklastrudel. :D

Mr Luxury Posted July 1, 2014 #1371 Share Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) Jeff, I suppose you'll have to abandon your Rolf Harris tribute act. Jake the peg with his extra leg now makes sense after all these years. I knew that Didgeridoo would get him in the end. Can you guess what it is yet,was his catch phrase.:D Now we know what it was. Edited July 1, 2014 by Mr Luxury
