Cruise b4 christmas or after?

Would like a romantic holiday cruise. :p Would it be less kids if we ended the cruise right b4 christmas as opposed to taking a cruise that covered Christmas & NY day? Or is the month of December families galore? Also what is the benefit of booking another cruise on celebrity while on the cruise?

We usually cruise just before Christmas. Usually, there are less children aboard during that time. During the holiday, there are a lot more children aboard due to school being out. Cruising just before the holiday has always worked out beautifully for us.

There were very few children on our Panama Canal cruise in December. The dates were 12/10 - 12/20 and I don't think I saw more than a half dozen on the ship.

A word of caution.....we were on the Constellation last December 10-17 and it was LOADED with kids. Seems that some of the islands, in this case Puerto Rico, start their Christmas vacation early. So it also depends where you are headed.

We alway cruise in November/December every year for the last 12 years on RCCL or Celebrity and find a Thanksgiving or Christmas cruise attracts lots of kids. Another thing to look at is the price of the cruise. It is lower the week before or after the hollidays. Joe
