What did you think of the Dream

I am trying to pick a cruise between several. Please give me the pros and cons about the Dream.

I enjoyed our Dream cruise so much in 1/13 that we've got her booked again for 12/7/13 and the reposition cruise 4/5/14.

Love the Dream. Been on the Dream twice already this year & have 2 more booked on the Dream. Jamie is a fantastic CD, out & about all the time. The Black Jack band on deck 5 is really good and plays requests. Can be crowd during peak times on Lido on sea days, so plan accordingly. Casino has been good to my husband, so no complaints there. Love going up to Serenity deck and laying out with a good book. Just have fun.

Loved the lani area. Loved the tandoor buffet. Disliked the crowds. Disliked camp carnival being on top of the ship. Over all we liked the Dream we would go on it again. We are a big fan of the spirit class. IMO they need to build more of that class not the big ships.

what's a reposition cruise?

 

They are moving the Dream (repositioning) from Florida to New Orleans. Her home port was FL and after this cruise her home port will be NOLA. We board in Port Canaveral and debark in New Orleans. Come join us.

The Dream is my favorite Carnival ship. The cruise director Jaime is the best I have ever had and so is the assistant cruise director Gumbie. Great shows. Great food. A really nice looking ship. Glitzy, without being gaudy at all.

We really liked the Dream on our cruise last year... we loved the cove balcony because you're so close to the water. All-in-all she is a beautiful ship.

The Dream in an awesome ship! I was on it this past January and am booked again on it this upcoming January. I DO wish they had more of the 2.0 restaurants (the italian one, guys, blue iguana, something)... BUT, it works out because we're sailing either Breeze or Sunshine in September 2014 :)

As you can tell by my signature and our past/future cruises, we love the Dream!! Going to be sad to see her move to another port:( Like the pp stated, just wished she had a Guys Burgers!

We are looking forward to one last trip on the Dream next month!

I normally cruise with NCL and decided to give Carnival a try since NCL pulled their ships out of the Caribbean when I'm able to cruise. We went on the Dream and I have to admit, I LOVED IT!!!

 

I have a FULL review with TONS of pictures of everything in my signature line if you are interested. :)

We've been on the Dream twice and have a B2B booked for Jan 2014. We spend a lot of time in the Serenity area, love the steakhouse, our balcony, Black Jack Band, Ocean Plaza Bar before dinner, etc. :)

Hello, I just returned from sailing on the Dream Aug 10-17. My son was married on board while we were in Grand Turks.

The ship was beautiful, well maintained. My room was very quiet despite my being one floor below the Lido Deck and the Gathering. I never heard noise from these areas.

The food was delicious and I always left the MDR stuffed.
