Suggestions for eating on island

We would like to eat on the island probably once for dinner and once for lunch.

For lunch- thinking close to ship, nothing elaborate.

For dinner- something better, better food, better atmosphere (possibly romantic)

Just an FYI we are not drinkers (lunch purposes)

Any suggestions? And also best way to get to the suggestions??

THANKS

lunch: Frog & Onion Pub; about a 5 minute walk from the cruise ship.

Agree with F&O for lunch, excellent burger and their pasta was also goos last visit there. We also like the Pickled Onion on Front St in Hamilton, great pizza on their balcony.

For a nice dinner I'm attaching a response I made to another post -

We like Coconuts at The Reefs, nice casual dining (but a bit upscale experience) on the open-air, roofed deck overlooking the beautiful resort beach and rocks. Beautiful setting and good cuisine, they also offer an on-the-beach dining option but there are several tables grouped together just under the deck on the beach and it's not a private beach experience at all.

We enjoy dining at Coconuts on Thursday and then walking to their lounge where Randy Lambert and the band Temop plays. Randy is the premier musician on the island and plays everything from Harry Belefonte to anything you like. What an amazing evening!

I would request a table a couple weeks before you cruise to get a nice spot along the railing overlooking the beach.

Another great option is to go to Henry VIII for dinner and music, also on the South Shore not far from the Reefs. Randy often plays there on Fridays. The cuisine is great, neat place and a lot of fun.

Ocean Echo (indoor at the Reefs), Waterlot at the Fairmont Southampton, Four Ways Inn, Mickey's (or indoor Lido) at Elbow Beach, and Tom Moore's Tavern are all very poplar high-end restaurants.

And our favorite lunch experiences of all time was renting a Boston whaler at H2O Watersports at Cambridge Beaches and packing a picnic and drinks for a privale island lunch on one of the small islands. One of our best experiences and a great way to experience Bermuda for 4 - 5 hrs. Somerset Bridge Watersports is also a great outfit.
