tncap Posted August 21, 2013 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2013 That would be a riot - out there splashing around with the water-activated light going off.
caribsun Posted August 21, 2013 #6 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Bummer, Thanks for such a fast reply Buy a snorkel vest and inflate at beach then deflate for packing. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Asnorkel%20vests
Rare shof515 Posted August 21, 2013 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2013 why does one need to bring it to the beach?
jiggs Posted August 21, 2013 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2013 even if you could, I doubt you would want to. Its cumbersome, its not like a vest like you would wear on a jetski or water skiing...
Havingfun2010 Posted August 21, 2013 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2013 Are you allowed to take a carnival lifejacket off the ship and to the beach ???Thanks in advance The lifejackets are designed for ocean emergencies, have whistles, water activated strobe lights etc and are not designed for swimming and splashing around on the beach. TEXASMUNK Posted August 21, 2013 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2013 but, let's remember lots and lots and lots of folks have never cruised, have no clue as to what to expect. Maybe they cannot swim, and envision their first venture into the Caribbean and worry....so they ask, what many experienced cruisers consider a silly question. Remember, before your first cruise, you probalby had a head swimming with silly questions! to the OP....Bon Voyage!!!!

Lerin Posted August 22, 2013 #13 Share Posted August 22, 2013 True but would still be curious as to the reason for wanting one on THE BEACH for swimming(or floating around) especially if they are not a good swimmer. It was a reasonable question, the op probably didn't realize that ship life vests are not the same a recreational vests.
Cruise-Crazy Posted August 22, 2013 #14 Share Posted August 22, 2013 Yeah, snorkel vests are cheap and can be rolled up pretty small.
