Just off Freedom!!

Ok, put this question to bed please. Numerous people stated that the A/C did not get very cool in their rooms. I asked John Heald about it and he refuted it. What was your experience?

Other than that I'd like to see your pics of the ship and ports.

Thanks!

The a/c in the room was adequate.....although sometimes a bit warm. I always bring a mini fan for my cabin to prevent 'overheating' while getting ready. Also, posh dining room was warm every night. Also, we lost water twice while onboard, one night it was for hours....but the drinks kept flowing as long as we had ice;)

We were on this cruise as well. I always take a small thermometer along with us so that I can actually see what the temp is rather than just say that it "feels warm" (humidity can play a roll as well). We had no problems with the temperature in our cabin (GS 7295). It ranged from roughly 68 to 72. In fact, here is a photo I took just a few days ago! :D

We had a VERY good time. This was a "premier" casino sailing - thus our cabin was (almost) free and I was able to pick up cash to start the fun. We enjoyed the steakhouse all 8 nights, so can't speak to the conditions in the dining room -- though we did eat breakfast once in the aft dining room, and all was well. The casino was comfortable -- and QUITE "giving" to me! If this had been only a 4 night cruise I would have bagged my largest single trip win in my life... still I won enough to pay all onboard charges and plenty more to purchase a couple more cruises! :)

We went to one adult comedy show (early in the cruise) and it was just ok. It would be VERY tough to top the two comedians we saw on the Oasis in May - hands down some of the best we've seen! Oddly, on the Freedom, there were two days where there were 5 evening shows - one night it was the same person in each time slot (they usually alternate), and another evening the same thing, though a new person!

We went to none of the shows - though I'm sure Ticket To Ride was good fun, we've seen it twice before on other ships. They have a full 10 piece showband on this ship (I think they said there are only 3 ships left with the full band). We enjoyed them playing in the cigar lounge (Club Habana) one evening - "funk and soul" I think was the theme. Glad we caught that one!

Music Boardwalk played a few evenings in the atrium. They jazzed it up with two tunes after I gave them a napkin with Journey, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, and Led Zeppelin written on it. After that though, they went back to fairly mellow stuff - to which one or two older couples were dancing (the same moves no matter the song).

FUN WEEK !!

Just off the Freedom/8 night Eastern.... Will write a full review, but let me know if you have any questions!

If you went to the past guest party, you probably saw us up on stage -- I have a public speaking phobia, so I tried to say as little as possible. I was taken aback when the CD asked if I was "winning big" in the casino. I slowly uttered "yes" as if it was a set up question. Obviously he had been speaking to someone in the casino department!

We came to bed one night (between midnight and 2 am) and ours was out. We had been given a heads up in the casino - where they gave us a couple bottles of water as we left.

I was on this same cruise last week. We had a balcony on the lido deck and at times it felt like the AC was not even on. We didnt complain though. We were just happy to be onboard.

I'm booked on this ship and itinerary in the far too distant future, in a lido balcony, so tagging along. I've never had a problem with the ac in our cabins despite bring on a few cruises where others have been out of luck. But we never leave the balcony door open and keep the curtains drawn when we're not in there. However, I applaud the pp who said they didn't complain. Temp is a deal breaker for me and would ruin a trip, particularly at night. I could do without water before a non functioning ac!

Agreed - if it's in the 74/75 range, it's in need of repair!!

I hope my room has this type of temps! We're on the aft on deck 8.

Agreed!

I mentioned previously that humidity plays into this as well... as in it plays a role, not a ROLL... :o

Tom

We don't leave the balcony door open as that is inviting humidity in! Looking forward to the cruise. I'll be boarding in 4 weeks!
