Fully booked but availability showing?

Can anyone help- we are trying to book an additional cabin for a September cruise. We have called X who say the ship is full but when you load the website it says balcony is available but then won't let you book. Any suggestions? One option is to add the guest to one of our existing cabins and then waitlist? Is there a way of wait listing?

You could try contacting some of the larger cruise agencies. They sometimes have groups of cabins reserved and may just be able to help. I have never known of anyone being able to waitlist directly with Celebrity but perhaps someone else might know. Are you talking about this September?

Keep in mind that even though you might have a 3 person room, they might not let you add that person if the ship is considered at full capacity. Rooms can have varying #'s of passengers, so if there are already a lot of 3 or 4 cabin occupancies that could be an issue. Not likely a lot of kids on a Sept sailing so you will likely be ok, but it could possibly be an issue. Best to resolve soon.

Someone may have courtesy held the last cabin for 24 hours. It will show as available though until it is released or they pay.

This is one more reason to have a good TA they can check on cabins thru the day and if one comes up they can hold it for you.

Not sure that is true. When I have put a courtesy hold on a room, it has disappeared from the available rooms. Of course, it is always possible that the Celebrity system work differently at different times.
