Excursions

DH and I have brought our snorkel gear with us. Keep in mind that it is bulky. We live in Florida so it is easy for us to toss it into the back of the car since we drive to the pier. Not sure I'd pay extra to check it if we were flying in.

One thing you may want to consider is to bring your mask and snorkel (since they dont take up much room in your luggage) and use the fins provided by the excursion company. Many excursions will want you to wear a vest so if you have them, you may want to bring them.

We love bringing our own gear. We know that we are the only ones that have used our snorkels and that our masks fit properly. It also means that we are usually in the water sooner since all the straps are already adjusted to fit us.
