Bases5 Posted September 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2013 (edited) I have been reviewing the deck plan for the Freedom. I understand you can't get threw to the aft on deck 3 because of the galley. 1: What about deck 4. It looks like the Habana cigar bar is between the 2 upper dining rooms. do you have to go up or down and around to get to it or is there a path? 2 What is the Habana cigar bar used for? Also do they allow cigar smoking there? yuck 3 I noticed that most deck plans I see shows the Sushi bar along the promenade. Is it still there or is that where the taste bar is now? 4 Swingtime bar, what is this bar used for. What kind of music? 5 International Aft lounge Is this where the comedy club is at or do they use the main show room? 6 I can't find the candy store, Where is that located? 7 do they have a Martini bar on the Freedom? Thanks so much in advance for your reply's. Edited September 7, 2013 by Bases5
prissycruiser1966 Posted September 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2013 Just returned from the Freedom on 9/1. There is a Candy Store- on 5 by the Casino entrance. The comedy shows are in the International Aft Lounge. There was a Martini Bar right outside by the Piano Bar. Usually there was ample seating in the International Aft Lounge. The Taste Bar is where the Sushi Bar used to be. You have to use deck 5 to walk the length of the ship. It looks like the Habana cigar bar is between the 2 upper dining rooms. do you have to go up or down and around to get to it or is there a path? Down to 2 or up to 5. Deck 4 is the deck with lifeboats and although there is "a path" between the Cigar Bar and the Chic Dining Room - it isn't "open" to travel from aft to front. 2 What is the Habana cigar bar used for? Also do they allow cigar smoking there? yuck Mostly karaoke and trivia, and no, they no longer allow smoking in this lounge. Cigars are now smoked in the Swingtime Lounge on 5. 3 I noticed that most deck plans I see shows the Sushi bar along the promenade. Is it still there or is that where the taste bar is now? Taste Bar. 4 Swingtime bar, what is this bar used for. What kind of music? Since smoking is not allowed in the Piano bar or International Aft Lounge, this is where the inside venue for smoking including cigars is allowed. The music varies from the solo guitarist to the showband to just piped in music. Some dancing, but didn't see much on our cruise. 5 International Aft lounge Is this where the comedy club is at or do they use the main show room? Yes, this is where the comedy club is. 6 I can't find the candy store, Where is that located? They don't have the Cherry on Top yet as it has yet to go in for the Funship 2.0 upgrades. Candy can be purchased in the Formalities shop on deck 5. 7 do they have a Martini bar on the Freedom? No, it is still the Wine bar and not the Alchemy which comes with the 2.0 upgrades. Thanks so much in advance for your reply's. I answered in red above. The Freedom is a sister ship to the Conquest, Valor, Glory and Liberty - just doesn't have the 2.0 upgrades yet. If you have traveled on any of them, it will still have the same flow and layout.

Actually, the "wine bar" on the freedom is considered the wine and martini bar. They have a huge martini poster hung there. I just got off today. They do martini tastings there as well. chathamman Posted September 8, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 8, 2013 We cruised on the Freedom in July and we didn't realize it was a "Wine and Martini Bar", we thought it was "The Martini Bar" because that was what signage said. REGARDLESS, it was a FANTASTIC MARTINI BAR and Nuur (spelling??) made awesome martinis and was very entertaining. Always a pretty big crowd. Plus, it is located just beside the Piano Bar and Marty Gast is GREAT at the Piano Bar. I highly recommend the Spicy Chipotle Martini made with Bombay Sapphire Gin!! Have fun!!

chathamman Posted September 8, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 8, 2013 Yes. Pick 4 for $17.00. We did this several times to try some different types of martinis we had not had before. That is how I discovered the Spicy Chipotle. ...and as i said before, the lady martini bartender (name was Nuur) was entertaining, fun and would make anything. Really good.
