kangaand2roos Posted September 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2013 We are sailing the Pride in February and my husband (a land lubber) will be dropping us off at the port. I know that sometimes the Pride can get in a little late,so I'm going to prepare for a bit of a wait if necessary, though we do have FTTF. My question, is what amenities, if any, does the port have? Any food offered, or should I bring snacks and drinks? Thanks in advance!

StingrayBob Posted September 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Nothing available in the port terminal. Its just some large rooms with chairs and the checkin desk at the front. I would bring your own snacks and drinks if your think you might have a wait.

Wspinelli Posted September 10, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Our last cruise was out of Baltimore, the amenities were pretty sparse as you left. You probably won't get to bring food of the Ship. Customs confiscated a banana from my son.
mrsglovesapg Posted September 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2013 The Port of Baltimore, after security and check in, there are snack and beverage vending machines by the rest rooms. This Port is not like the Port in NYC where the have pretzel, hot dog, and nut vendors right there at your disposal.

cruise pup Posted September 10, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 10, 2013 In NYC the VIP check-in/waiting area has a table set up with danish, juice, water, etc. Don't know if they supply that in the general waiting area or if it's done at all in Baltimore. kangaand2roos Posted September 10, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Well, as I'll be traveling with a 9 and an 11 year old, I'll come prepared with appropriate snacks and activities. I know cameras are not allowed to be used in the building, but what about iPads? Hopefully, none of this will be necessary and we will walk right on the ship, but with kids, it's better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best! gram2trips Posted September 16, 2013 #13 Share Posted September 16, 2013 I'm thinking individually packaged stuff. I think they're ok with that. Just make sure nothing is open, say u have a coffee or pop & some out of it...anything open they will make u throw away because when u enter the terminal first thing is the scanners, then off to checkin & sit down...as long as it is not opened u will be ok....
