bornfreenowexpensive Posted September 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2013 Sorry if this has been asked before. When taking B2B cruises and taking the air credit, do you get air credit for both cruises?
Mura Posted September 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2013 That's an interesting question, and one I cannot answer because on our only B2B to date we did our own airfare. But my guess would be that it is half and half. Obviously you cannot use the return flight from the first cruise or the departure flight from the second. Yes If you are not using Oceania air at all you get the credit for both cruises If you use the air you will get 50% of the credit for each cruise Lyn
Mura Posted September 11, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2013 So we learn something every day! I never would have expected a B2B to get the full discount for not using O's air. Thanks, Lyn. Mura

Mura Mura they are 2 cruises so of course you get the credit We have done several B2B's some using the air some not We are using O air on the May/June cruise Lyn
Mura Posted September 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Lyn, Originally we were going to use O's air for the May cruise since we only need the flight home from London. But then I realized I could get business on UAL with our miles, so I booked that. Of course we'd already paid for the deviation, but I was prepared for that. Trying to get a one-way business air rate London to NYC was just impossible. That's why we originally took the O option. Mura

Mura Too bad about losing the deviation fee but at least you had enough points to get a flight home I have enough points to get to the next town ;) if I am lucky
Mura Posted September 11, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2013 Even losing the deviation fee, it was still a cheaper cost than paying for a fare. So an easy decision. But when I ordered the deviation, I didn't think we had enough miles. But the time we changed our minds, we did! Still, Lyn, when Howard was working we had tons of miles. Since he retired, that is NOT the case! Mura
