tweety33 Posted September 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2013 I am new to Royal Caribbean, and thinking of trying them. Do they have a plan that you can take advantage of price drops between booking & sailing. Thanks for any info. I'm just starting to investigate what this line offers. fla jack Posted September 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2013 You can take advantage of price reductions from booking date to the day prior to final payment. Any price reductions after final payment are not allowed. The only option after final payment is to upgrade to a higher priced category by paying the difference between your final payment & the new higher price. TBone2K Posted September 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 11, 2013 If the price drops between paying your deposit and your final payment, you can get the reduced price. If the prices drop after final payment, you can't get any money back, but still have the option to upgrade and pay the difference to the new price. The latter is not official, and not every RC rep will give you that option. However I have done it thanks to a determined TA who kept calling RC until someone said yes. Others have reported success as well.

If the new booking price holds past the sale date shown there is a better chance they will then allow it for an existing booking.
