Medical question.

I was thinking the same thing. NCL has one physician per ship . . . The jumbos may be an exception, I never traveled the big 'uns, so I won't say.

ETA - searched the web and found this . . . http://book.hollandamerica.com/pdfs/media/factsheets/OnboardMedicalServices_FactSheet.pdf

Yep, two physicians . . . perhaps their demographic demands it.

When we needed medical assistance on the Norwegian Spirit there were two physicians, one was from Cape Town South Africa and very good.

I'll take this opportunity to show NCL and the entire crew of the Spirit my gratitude for their kindness, respect and expert care................thank you!

Here are two real life examples why you should have trip insurance:

This past February my wife fell and broke her foot a week before a scheduled cruise. We had to cancel and insurance reimbursed us.

Last year my wife came down with a severe lung infection on a Princess ship. She was treated for a week on board then sent to a hospital in NY because she could not fly home. After our Medicare HMO paid part, the insurance picked up the rest including our flight home.

In both cases we would have been out thousands of dollars.
