Taxis on Virgin Gorda

We'll be on Tortola from 8:00-6:00 when our ship stops there next spring. Planning to take the Speedy's ferry to Virgin Gorda. Since we have a good amount of time, I was hoping to take a taxi to the Baths in the morning, have lunch at Top of the Baths, and then visit Spring Bay in the afternoon. My question is about the taxi service on the island. How often do they come by, and will I be able to catch a taxi from the restaurant to Spring Bay? Will I have any problems catching a taxi from Spring Bay back to the ferry?

That's great that you have so much time in port, you'll definitely be able to enjoy the itinerary you have planned.

 

You will find taxis at the ferry and at the Top of the Baths. Spring Bay you may want to have the driver return at a certain time.

 

We had the same driver drop us at the Top of the Baths, return to drop us at the Mineshaft for lunch (highly recommended), and return there to drop us in Spanishtown at the Bath and Turtle. Very inexpensive that way and the drivers are willing to work with you.
