Disney fantasy dining questions

Hey everyone, we are about to take our first disney cruise in Oct. Did several cruises before kids, but this is all new for us. I have a question about dining. Do the sit down/fancy restaurants serve breakfast and lunch? How about when you first board. We always used to do a nice sit down lunch on HAL when we boarded. Thanks so much

There is breakfast and lunch usually in two of the restaurants, Royal Court and Enchanted Garden. Royal Court is a full sit down breakfast/lunch where you will be waited on.

Enchanted Garden is more buffet style - but a waiter will bring you drinks. DCL's website says it will only be open for lunch on select days but I can not recall which days it was open vs closed. Breakfast is also buffet style in this restaurant with drinks being served by a waiter.

Cabanas is full on buffet for breakfast and lunch - you would have to get your own drinks.

Quick service food is also open for lunch.

On embarkation day, only buffets are available (and quick service on the pool deck). You can either try Cabana's Buffet or the Enchanted Garden buffet. At Cabana's it's true buffet where you seat yourself and get your own drinks. At Enchanted Garden, you will be seated and a server will get your drinks but it's still a buffet.

Cabana's will have a better selection of kid friendly foods; Enchanted Garden buffet doesn't carry the traditional kids nuggets, pizza, mac n cheese stuff.

Each evening (and in the terminal before boarding) you will get a Navigator for the next day. This lists which restaurants will be open and the hours as well as whether they are serving separate breakfast/lunch or a brunch.

Each breakfast and lunch, there will be one sit down restaurant open and typically one buffet where you will be seated and have beverages served but get your own food (usually Enchanted Garden). In addition, Cabanas on the pool deck is a buffet where you will get your own beverages as well as your food. And there are always the "fast food" outlets on the pool deck which do have some healthier choices as well.

You simply look at what is open when and decide where you wish to eat. Then show up. No reservations or anything.

On boarding, your choices will be Cabanas or Enchanted Garden. Both will be buffet, but at Enchanted Garden you will be shown to a seat and have beverages served. There are more food options at the pool deck outlets, but we never lacked for choices at the restaurant buffet.
