Upgrade to premium or speciality dining package?

We've just booked and the Classic drinks package is included. We normally pay for the premium package. This is our 3rd cruise with Celebrity and because it is for 12 nights are thinking that the 4 night speciality dining package would make a nice change as we have never eaten in them before. Unfortunately we can't afford both. Also if we book the speciality dining will our classic package cover drinks in those restaurants especially Murano? Thanks for your help

Also, you don't have to upgrade to premium for the entire cruise, so if you want to enjoy the upgraded drinks just upgrade for the last 4 or 5 days of your cruise. I believe you just need to upgrade at least 3 days before the end of the cruise. Just another option.

As an idea, how about waiting till you're on board, and seeing what works out with the deals available? A mixture of waiting for 20-50% off speciality restaurants, and upgrading to premium a few nights in, should come to the same total as buying either now. Plus, if you do find that the classic package is enough, you can do more dining!

Beverage packages are valid in specialty restaurants

They are valid, however, on our two trips on Century we were given wine menus that were different from the one in the MDR and there were very few wines that fell under the premium level of $12 a glass. We were not at all happy with this, and were even more frustrated when offered glasses in the $20 - $30 price range. As for which upgrade to take, I agree with others that you can get deals onboard for the restaurants and upgrade to premium later in the cruise which gives you the best of both worlds.

Did you know that you could order anything over the $12 limit and just pay the difference? This is only applicable if you have the premium beverage package, not the Classic. If Classic, you have to pay the entire amount.
