We need transportation from the airport to the hotel, then from the hotel to the cruise port for 8 people. I'm wondering if taxi rates are per person, how many people fit in a taxi, and what other options might be available. I looked at bus transport and they were asking $20 per person. That would be $160 for all 8 of us just to get to the hotel. Then, we would still need to get to the cruiseport. A limo costs about $106. If taxi rates are NOT per person, that would be the way to go. I saw something that said it would be about $35 for a taxi. If you could fit maybe 3-4 people in the taxi and only pay the $35, that would be great. If not, maybe we'll just do the limo service. We did that out of Miami and it was fantastic. The kids thought I had splurged, but I told them that we got it because Mom is cheap and it was the cheapest option. Then, they just thought we were brilliant. lol.

Taxi's are a flat $35 for two and $13 for each additional. You will not get all of you in one cab, maybe two or three cabs. If you really can get a limo that will hold 8 for that price, it's only about $13 each, that would be the way to go. I'm not sure what kind of limo can hold 8?

Downtown hotels to the pier are about $7-9 for two.

Sorry, taxi rates are per person, not per cab. For 3 or more it's $14pp. You might want to contact limo companies and see what they offer.

 

IF you really want to consider the "cheap" option, then that is the Jefferson Bus at $2pp. BUT, you must be able to handle all your own luggage/ pack light. AND have your hotel in a central location. (which I have no problem doing, including, walking to the ship)
