Independence 9644 and 9648

We booked "hump" Junior Suites 9644 and 9648 on Independence of the Seas for a cruise next June. I was surprised that these were available as I thought the "hump" cabins were quickly filled. Is it because we booked early and got lucky, or is there some disadvantage to either of these rooms that I'm not aware of. I'd appreciate input from anyone who is familiar with these particular cabins. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with those staterooms, you just got lucky. I prefer 9638 and 9338 because I think they are slightly more center hump, so an equal view forward and aft. 9644 will have a better view forward than 9648.

Haven't been in eithre of these cabins, but spent 2 weeks in 9656, a D2 balcony 2 doors aft of 9648. We thought it was a great location. Convenient to stairs/elevator and no noise or motion issues I recall. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks on Independence.

For what it's worth, here is a picture taken from our balcony [9656] with the balconies of your cabins circled [the circle turned out to be a little faint but it should give you an idea]:

Agree..a luck factor if not booking as soon as the books open. We have been in and love #9638 a few times on both LOS & Indy.
