limace Posted October 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Just got our assignment for the 1/27 sailing of the Noordam-VB6082. This is our first cruise, so I'm researching the heck out of everything. I see that this cabin is right next to the elevators....seems maybe more convenient and less likely to get smoke, perhaps (?), but waaaay less private. Of course I'm traveling with my mom, so privacy isn't as big of a concern as it might otherwise be :). So, should I see if I can switch? Am I way more likely to get seasick on this deck? Any other thoughts?
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2013 The middle of the ship is an excellent location if you prone to sea sickness. As far as the elevator is concerned -- you will not hear any noise from it. It goes by so fast that anyone standing up close to the glass windows won't have a chance to see much onto your balcony. When it does stop on your deck -- again it is just a short time -- and people are not going to see much. I wouldn't worry about switching -- you could end up in less desirable location. mamaofami Posted October 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2013 Your location looks OK to me. CLose by the elevator and mid ship is good. We're on the same cruise and I can't even remember what cabin I'm in.:)
