What happened to June 2014 NYC to Canada cruises?

The new EPA regulations caused Carnival to leave Baltimore, Norfolk and stop this business too.

The Splendor will be running a couple 4 nights scattered throughout the summer, but not regularly. In September the Splendor will be doing week long Canada cruises. But most of the Canada cruises were removed for 2014.

Sorry. Don't worry I'm upset too. :(

The OP isn't asking about why they pulled out of the ports or the EPA stuff, they're asking about a specific cruise.

It appears the June 5, 2014 sailing has either sold out (unlikely this early in the season) or potentially been chartered. It still shows up on a site where you can track pricing, but it's showing up grayed out. Call Carnival to inquire and someone should be able to specifically say why it's not showing up.

It doesn't help that they pulled out of Boston where most of the late Spring, early Summer Canadian cruises left from. Canada can get pretty chilly by the time September rolls around.

Nobody booked the cruises out of Boston without them basically giving them away.

New kids on the block have chartered the June 5th 2014 splendor sailing. On Monday I purchased flights from Scotland to New York for £1600 and paid deposit of 225 dollars for this cruise. Today I received an e-mail telling me the cruise is no longer available. I phoned the airline and I will now lose £1200 on my flights if i cancel them. Carnival have offered me 25 dollars on board credit to compensate on a future cruise and up to 200dollars air flight changes. I cant go any other time as this was selected for my sons graduation and no other date suits.I am one very unhappy person!!!!!

That is horrible!!! I would keep calling Carnival to see if at the very least they could foot the bill for getting you from NY to another port to cruise with your son.... It would probably from FL though...:(

I also was booked to sail on this date. I had no idea it had been canceled until I saw this posting. First lesson learned today, check my emails more often. I told Carnival I want a refund which they are going to do. However, I feel it is an insult to offer a credit of $25.00. I used to live in Scotland but now live near New York, I do not have a plane fare but am very aware of the high cost to fly Transatlantic and my heart goes out to you!!
