What would happen if your luggage gets lost?
chrisaf Posted October 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2013 You can pack it if you choose, but as said, your luggage could be lost. Also, a CPAP is not counted as a carry on by the airlines so your free to carry it even with an additional carry on.

Va. Plumber Posted October 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted October 8, 2013 I always carry mine separately. Don't know what the regimen means, but TSA always wipes down the motor end??

jjikids Posted October 9, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Always carry them on for DH and me. Too expensive for them to be thrown around. We also tell the TSA agent to use fresh gloves if they have to check the machines out and use a fresh pad. The first time we flew a very nice agent told us to do that. Go-Bucks! Posted October 9, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Too expensive for them to be thrown around. I always carry mine as carry-on for the same reason. Mine was expensive and I'm not willing to have it damaged by the checked-luggage loaders who throw the bags around.
lanceholt Posted October 9, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 9, 2013 We've flown with one a number of times both in the US and in Europe....no problem. We carry it on as we want it to be there at the other end undamaged. We haven't even had it checked by TSA, they all know what it is and just put it through x ray with the other carry ons. We bought a special bungee cord device to secure it to the top of our rollaboard, as it is kind of heavy to carry around for awhile.
Albert Bell Posted October 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2013 If my CPAP went missing it would be the end of my cruise. I always carry mine as carry-on just tell them whats in the bag, no problem :).
