Mrs Soap Posted October 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Hi everyone, When we originally booked our cruise - Preziosa May 31 2014 from Venice - we have booked room 11009- which was listed as an Aurea Suite - which is on the corner and has 2 rooms , the lounge area having a balcony and bedroom just a window- which is perfect for our family of 4. The deal at the time came with a spa package being that it was an Aurea suite I have just noticed it is now a S3 cabin with no mention of Aurea or Balcony? That is there is no symbol for balcony on the deck plan only a symbol for double sofa bed. On the website it has deck plans for pre oct 2013 and post 0ct 2013 Does any one know anything about this? Many thanks Kylie
sidari Posted October 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Hi Mrs Soap .... Checked out cruisedeckplans.com for you and it is also shown as an S3 Junior Suite on there, as far as i recall those rooms do not have balcony access but have fixed panoramic windows due to being where they are. No idea about the change regarding the Spa thing, think you would have to ask MSC about that.
Mrs Soap Posted October 8, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Thanks Sidari, Its all very confusing- some plans say no balcony some say yes- even the 3d tour of the cabin on the website, shows a balcony and our confirmation states - balcony suite? The front suites definately do not have balconies but rather panoramic windows but oringinally we were lead to believe the corner front suites have a side balcony? Many thanks again :)

Mrs Soap Posted October 9, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Just rang MSC and they say the corner suites do have a balcony , it is just not on the new deck plan- which just seems silly !?!?! but it is only the front suites that dont have the balcony. They are called s3 cabins now and not aurea suites
sidari Posted October 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Mrs Soap ... Looking at a few pictures of the Front of the ship it does appear that there is a small side balcony to these two cabins ... :) The cabin is two down under the Bridge you may have to save the picture and then zoom in to see the balcony, when i zoom in on the original picture there is a deck chair on the balcony. Aplogies for the wrong info earlier.
Mrs Soap Posted October 9, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks Sidari, great. Having some photos is great , I think their website as others have said leaves a lot to be desired! Even the lady from msc on the phone was confused as not all s3 cabins are the same . Many thanks again:)
MSC Cruises USA Posted October 9, 2013 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Hi Kylie, Sorry for any confusion. Suite 11109 does have a small balcony. Let us know if you have any more questions.
Mrs Soap Posted October 9, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Thanks for your response MSC- I presume you meant cabin 11009:) Could you also tell me if any of the suites are Aurea suites now or are they all s3 ? Thank you :)
MSC Cruises USA Posted October 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Hi Kylie, Yes, we were referring to cabin 11009. On sailings after November 10, 2013, there are no longer any suites referred to Aurea suites and instead classified as S3.
