CaribbeanCrush Posted January 2, 2014 #77 Share Posted January 2, 2014 We always book on the starboard side. No reason. Just feels more comfortable!
slyster Posted January 2, 2014 #78 Share Posted January 2, 2014 (edited) It seems I never get lucky with port side. Never seem to be facing the port. Maybe 50% of the time? I prefer the side facing the port while we are docked. wish there was a way to know beforehand as to which side a particular ship will be docking. navybankerteacher Posted January 2, 2014 #79 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Aside from trans-Atlantics and similar itineraries where there is a predictable reason (sun or shade) there really is no difference.
Gunner22aa Posted January 2, 2014 #80 Share Posted January 2, 2014 If we can't get the true aft cabin we want we find another cruise. Won't compromise on this one.
Taxguy77 Posted January 4, 2014 #81 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Years ago, NCL had smoking on one side and not on the other. The side made big difference to some people. Times change.
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 4, 2014 #82 Share Posted January 4, 2014 Port side Many times that side of the ship faces inland when in port. We like to sit out on our verandah with a drink and snacks and people watch.
