bplazo Posted October 17, 2013 #27 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Celebrity during winter months doing the Carib While they don't restrict kids there are not many In fact I think it's the same agesas carnival minus the kids We did celebtiy the first week in April and only saw a few children. We just booked another cruise with them.
mrsd912 Posted October 17, 2013 #28 Share Posted October 17, 2013 We really didn't see many kids on our cruise last year, and the ones we did see we're pretty well behaved, so I wouldn't search out a kid free cruise. However, last year we sailed the second week in September and I didn't figure many parents would pull their kids out of school then. Our next cruise is the second week in April, so my answer might change after that!
Tithonus Posted October 17, 2013 #29 Share Posted October 17, 2013 How many people would join an all adult 7 day chartered Carnival cruise? Same basic price as any other cruise and same basic ports. Would there really be enough interest to do a cruise without kids to fill a ship? I think that would be great. 35 and up. No drunk 20 something year olds! quietmn12 Posted October 17, 2013 #30 Share Posted October 17, 2013 We would love that cruise! I wouldn't even care what ports we visit, it would be so worth it.

allenee Posted October 17, 2013 #32 Share Posted October 17, 2013 If it's carnival and the price is right sign us up. We cruise some with our Granddaughter and she was taught how to behave and does not run the halls but a lot of parents don't care what their child does as long as they're not bothered. KayCee4106 Posted October 17, 2013 #33 Share Posted October 17, 2013 I think that would be great. 35 and up. No drunk 20 something year olds! I agree with your premise, however my daughter is 24 and her fiance is 28 and neither of them drink to excess and get rowdy. Same with my nephew and his fiance. Setting an age limit over 21 is acceptable if you want to say legal drinking age for all ports etc. (Sorry, generalizations ruffle my feathers, LOL)

KruuzinAgain Posted October 17, 2013 #37 Share Posted October 17, 2013 A few years ago, my wife and I went to an Adults Only all-inclusive in the Caribbean. After we did that, we never went to a family resort again. We'd jump at the opportunity for an adult only cruise!!
AmberTeka Posted October 17, 2013 #38 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Provided it was not adult entertainment...or changed from what it is now..(Adult at later hours.) I would be interested. I am not interested in seeing anyone naked. Or hearing jokes that consist of saying the "f" bomb over and over. or the "n" word by black comedians. Or hearing about anyone's sexual problems or advantages. NO nudity. Just ordinary..normal cruise..but no one under 30. That would be heaven. And I have a daughter and a grand daughter I dote on. but I promise you..they will be with us in March and you won't see either one of them running the halls or tolerating it. Just like the child who drowned on the Victory? Why was that MOM not in that pool with the child..or sitting by the pool? The child could not swim. She had to know that. At the risk of sounding stupid..is that a cultural thing with Hispanics? they keep their children out later and take them places like the casino? Honeybun25 Posted October 17, 2013 #42 Share Posted October 17, 2013 I would love to do that! I am 25 and fiance is 27. We are old folk thou. I don't like people our age and younger. Too much disrespect, tearing up stuff, and craziness!
cruizinisthebest Posted October 17, 2013 #43 Share Posted October 17, 2013 That would be cool. Only just started sailing with our kids but they could sit this one out;). If there was a way to weed out sloppy, obnoxious drunks, then that would be even better. They are 10x worse dealing with than kids. And while I can and do throw ‘em back with the best of them, I’ve never been into the frat party atmosphere. And it’s not always the younger, barely able to drink crowd, acting like that either. Just sayin’
MommaBear55 Posted October 17, 2013 #44 Share Posted October 17, 2013 Of my 8 cruises (a small number compares to many) I have never had screaming kids, kids in the hallways, elevators, crying in the MDR or otherwise. I cruise in May, January, October when the kids are in school, generally do 10 to 14 day cruises. All my cruises have been on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess. From what I have read on these boards, those are the keys to success. I know when I read Adult Only I picture a drunken bacchanalia and would avoid that kind of cruise. I am with the poster who would rather have a few kids than loud drunks. Yup, I am boring.

The child could not swim. She had to know that. Wow, so you were there and know exactly what happened? Lets say she was there but look down to fix her boobs or looked over at another child and before you know it, accident. Too quickly you think....wrong. If you think it can't happen that quickly then I pray for you and the well being of your children. Please take the time to educate yourself on drowning , you might be even able to help someone and realize it can happen in a blink or in one tablespoon/ teaspoon of water. With the amount of information on the web, there is NO excuse for certain level of ignorance, wake up and surf the web! Let the child rest in peace
hockeyluver Posted October 17, 2013 #48 Share Posted October 17, 2013 I dont think that would happen on carnival, that would mean that most cabins would be sailing half empty. Not to many couples want to share a cabin ( yikes too small for 4 adults) . Kids on a cruise dont bother us since we are usually where they dont go. And in all the cruises we have done I have never had a problem with kids playing with the elevators or making too much noise in the hallway. I guess being a school bus driver might make me more tolerant of kids
