Epic already sold out for April 13th?? Anyone know why??

I have never been on norwegian and booked them through a casino upgrade. It's for my 5th anniversary and I had been checking periodically for maybe upping my balcony room to the haven. As of last week there were tons of rooms available then magically this morning everything is completely sold out. I called norwegian and asked if it had become some specialty cruise and they said no. They said maybe it was because of spring break. Spring breaks are usually the 2nd weeks of March to the 1st week of april so I am not buying that, especially how it up and got completely booked in a matter of a week or so and almost 6 months out. Just curious if anyone knows what might be up here because if it has become a specialty cruise I don't really want to be on it. Thanks everyone!!

Oh and the cruises the week before and after have a lot of availability to them also....something seems weird here....

that's the week we have off for school in NY as Passover is the 14th and Easter is the 20th, so we have that entire week off. It may be a very popular time for school to be off (not college, but elementary-high school. Just a guess....

The cruise is a Sunday to Sunday. The other poster may be on to something but still selling out that far in advance is weird to me. Maybe I am crazy but, I still think something is up.

This would make sense, something like that. I mean it was crazy a week ago how many rooms were available and this far in advance.

Well first of all: spring breaks can be anytime from the beginning of March to the week after Easter, with most colleges being off the second or third week of March. My guess, even if NCL didn't say so, there is a group that has chartered the ship or there is glitch in the system.

My guess is that its a glitch in the booking system (again). I've seen this before. I can't imagine the Epic being sold out this far in advance, especially rooms like Studios where I watch the bookings closely.

 

I would check again tomorrow.

They probably took the cruise off line while they did some pricing adjustments. I've seen this a few times. Just keep checking.

It's Easter week. I'm guessing most of the public schools in the country are off from school that week. I can't imagine them booking a special group, since they will have no problem filling the ship! I'm sure it will be just as packed as Christmas week.
