Sales Pitches in Allure Main Dining Room

Ive been offered the cookbook and bottled water in the MDR. A polite "no thanks" seems to take care of it just like it does on the islands. :)

I've never experienced this in all my cruises. Hope it stays that way.

Im hoping this isn't a new thing. I wouldn't enjoy it. I'm happy to say "no thanks" but c'mon don't get me at dinner! I'm already annoyed at all the sales and shopping crap they stuff down my throat. Don't try to sell me while I'm eating too.

just off the Allure yesterday and we ate 5/7 nights in the MDR....BTW, a shout out to our waiter and assistant, Vanessa and Frank...table 172...you 2 were amazing!!! :)

 

anyway, we were never offered anything extra to purchase in the dining room....

We were on Serenade this month and there was no solicitation at all.

I would think the wine offer is part of waiters job especially if it's discounted.The cookbook also but just quick We have this special today.

We eat in the MDR every night. Maybe we give off "not interested" vibes, but we have never encountered any solicitation in the MDR on any cruise.

Maybe some of the passengers who don't have the time to research all the deals/packages through forums like CC before boarding are actually happy that someone highlights the different options to them so they can get the most for their money.

 

If the pitches are short and sweet and actually relate to dining they wouldn't bother me.
