Your FAVORITE food item on an NCL ship

Before my first NCL cruise I'd heard nothing but raves about the lobster ravioli in La Cucina. I was so excited to try it. I was very let down! lol

But the escargot in La Bistro lived up to the hype. And I loved the Lamb that was in Cagney's (not sure if it's still on the new menu)

That's what I had there too. I was not impressed. It had a bitter taste to me that I didn't like.

Cinnamon rolls at breakfast, scones in the afternoon and crepes at dinner. Lol, I guess I have a sweet tooth :o My husband loves their cold fruit soups. I also love their mini sandwiches. But truthfully, lots of yummy food on their ships.

I'm sorry, but how does what I like...in any way, shape, or form...affect what YOU will/will not like?

I'm sure that if you took each and every menu item SOMEBODY would say that it is their favorite.

Just eat what appeals to YOU.

Eh, there's no harm in asking for suggestions on food to try if you've never been there. People do that all the time. Occasionally when eating out I might even ask the waiter/waitress what he/she suggests.

Pretzel Rolls

Cinnamon Rolls

Hash browns

Banana caramel pancakes

Fish and chips

Calamari

Sushi (all of it was good)

Blue Man Group Drink (Epic)

Any bread pudding with that to die for caramel sauce (really the bread pudding is just an avenue to have the caramel sauce)

Oh wow!!! I had totally forgotten about the chocolate croissants!! Thanks for the reminder :D. I can't wait!!!

On our June 3rd Alaska cruise on the Sun we hung our room service breakfast menu on the door each night. Four glasses of orange juice, two pots coffee (one decaf, one not), two bran muffins and FOUR chocolate croissants (they are small). The four of us would enjoy our prebreakfast and the beauty of Alaska.

Later we'd head to the smaller buffet area and get oatmeal, fruit, a couple sausage links, a few country potatoes and possibly another chocolate croissant :D

The Muesli at the buffet! Please, does someone know how I can make this at home? YUM!

The Spring Rolls, so spicy cold and refreshingingly crisp.

The coconut ice cream, you can't get that in your local freezer section.

The crepes, especially on the Sun, where they also had a fondue station with it. Crepes made with the chocolate fondue sauce are to die for. Sadly, the Breakaway had no fondue sauce.

The lamb I had in a specialty restaurant, finger lickin' good.

The Breakaway's Sabrett hotdog cart.

Anything Indian.

The apple margarita at the Margarita tasting...

MDR-mushroom quesadillas, cheesecake, crabcakes, empanadas, potroast, steak, prime rib, lobster tails, roast turkey, lemon meringue pie, pecan pie, coconut soufflé with mango coulis, ice cream etc etc

Le Bistro -duck, coq au Vin, crème brulee, a yummy chocolate dessert I had last time.

I eat at the buffet for breakfast and lunch-the variety of breads (non white-I only eat what I call 'bread with substance', the chewier the better, once I travelled to Europe I've never eaten white tasteless bread since), choice of fresh salads, hot meats, the ham and cheese bratwursts and ice cream! ice cream! ice cream! Soft serve or hard. I'm not fussy. he crepes are good too. Some of the desserts they have for lunch-definitely not the non-sugared variety.

For breakfast the buffet-the fruits, variety of great breads to toast (non white) the poached egg and Canadian bacon I take off the soggy/soft muffin to put on the great toast I've cooked.

The chocolate brownie sundae from the 24 hour fast food restaurant.

Plus I always manage to eat other stuff too. Unfortunately there's never a shortage of food I like to eat on board.

All washed down with the Matua Savignon Blanc
