Travelling with 19 yr olds

My son who is 19 and his friend who is 19 want to come on a cruise with us and I was wondering what documentation my son's friend needs to board the ship with us, he shouldn't need permission from his parents does he?

he is an adult so same as you. On some cruise lines you are responsible for anything he does, just like your son. so a passport or driversliscence and birth certificate.

I know on Royal's site you have to be 21 to book a room, which we will do for my son and him, but I was wondering if we were responsible for him or needed any other documentation.

Nope...just the normal ID stuff....he's an adult, even tho he can't book a cabin on his own!

 

Since he will be on YOUR booking, you will have some level of responsibility...but that shouldn't be a problem, right.....since he's a friend of your son....you wouldn't allow a troublemaker to come with your family!

Just be aware that our 19yos weren't permitted to disembark on their own at the island ports. We were caught off guard! Fortunately, we hadn't disembarked yet and were able to hustle down and get them off!

That's what worries me the most, drinking age is 18 in Cozumel, hopefully he won't be a pier runner, stumbler!:eek::rolleyes::D
