bbevanston Posted November 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2013 We plan to do some skating. How cold is the rink? I know "cold" is relative. When we do indoor skate at home, I usually wear a fleece jacket, vest, fleece sweater, mitts and head band. Yeah, it is kind of cold in our indoor rink. I would rather not bring all that with me on the ship. We will each have a hoodie, long sleeve tee and gloves to wear along with long pants. Sufficient? Thanks. Rare Lionesss Posted November 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2013 They require long pants. DD did it with long sleeve pullover (aeropostle like) Did not wear gloves or ear muffs. Was okay not too cold. Only skated 15 min. Boring, going in cirlces (or squares lol). Sea Ya

Tyler80 Posted November 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2013 Ice + Air Conditioning = Cold. Long pants are required for ice skating. If you're going to see the ice show I would recommend long plants and long sleeves if you get cold easily. Show lasts around 45 minutes. Ear muffs and gloves not needed. bbevanston Posted November 3, 2013 Author #6 Share Posted November 3, 2013 We always skate with gloves. Learned that from skating lessons. If you fall, it will provide some protection. If you fall and someone skates over your hand/fingers, it will be better than nothing (having your finger sliced). Seen it and it is not a pretty sight.
