lbfluffy Posted November 7, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I'm naturally curly, but my hairdresser straightened it and was a different look so I bought a hair straightener.
champagne123 Posted November 7, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I take my Chi on every cruise I go on. (I would look very scary if I could not) Lol
NCTribeFan Posted November 7, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Cruise newbie with me in September on Fantasy out of Charleston and almost had hers taken away. It was a tiny thing, so the person at the scanner let it go but told her she wasn't supposed to have one. Had I heard this person, I probably would've argues that it WAS allowed. Moot point, but... FAQ says this (under "exceptions" heading)... "Personal grooming devices such as hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, and shavers, are allowed on board when used with proper caution. However, if such devices are determined to pose a hazard, they will be removed and returned the last day of the cruise prior to debark"
cruise_girl2002 Posted November 7, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 7, 2013 yes you can. Without mine, and the humidity outside in the Caribbean....my hair would be like Diana Ross lol. I usually only straighten it before dinner and when we leave the ship to go home...other wise...up it goes in a pony
2Okies Posted November 7, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I always take mine. But, just for safety measures, I always unplug it and put it away after every use. Then, its out of sight when the steward cleans the room. Also, that solves the issue if I were to forget to turn it off, and it should get confiscated because of that. Also - no one wants a fire on board ship. Just my own safety precautions.
kcwingwalker Posted November 7, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Yes, you can. But have found that my hair needs to be touched up every time I go out on deck. So find I'm putting it up or doing the pony tail most of the time.:)
