Linda&Vern Posted November 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) Please - no popcorn necessary. Just a quick question for anyone who has rented a Retreat Cabana (Observation Deck) on the Eurodam. I need to know if smoking is allowed in the area of the Cabanas. Thank you. From HAL's website, it sounds like it is allowed: "The designated smoking areas for all ships are as follows unless otherwise noted." I never smelled it once and I have to say I'm pretty smoke intolerant.

There is also smoking on the deck above the Retreat. Doesn't mean we liked it. Just the facts.

I don't know why someone would want to smoke in such a small area but maybe I'm not remembering the layout correctly.

People stood on both sides of the railing and smoked. Not many, but we noticed.

Thebes Posted November 9, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) I wonder if I can smoke Hukkah in my retreat cabana ? Sorry Linda & Vern :) I'm just humorous like that and I do smoke Hukkah very occasionally as we have many Hukkah bars here where I live. Couldn't help it :) Edited November 9, 2013 by Thebes

cruz chic Posted November 9, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2013 I specifically asked if smoking was allowed in the retreat and was told no. That was last November. Either things changed or the cabana guys just didn't say anything.
felix9 Posted November 10, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 10, 2013 I really don't like cigarette smoke, and i never realized this may be an issue when booking the Cabanas.. Just irritates my nose and stuff.. I specifically asked if smoking was allowed in the retreat and was told no. That was last November. Either things changed or the cabana guys just didn't say anything.
