Yes, I also believe they are fresh water in the pools.

Steam rooms and saunas are free for Aqua class guests.

There is hard and soft ice cream on board. I thought the hard ice cream was rather disappointing as compared to other S-class ships. I saw several guests asking for M & M's without the ice cream.

There was no NBC, CBS, ABC on tv.

All S-class ships have fresh water pools. Reflection is no exception.

There are two main ways pools are chlorinated these days.

One is simply adding chlorine.

The other, growing in popularity, is to use a salt system. These systems use electrolysis to break the salt molecule into its parts - sodium and chlorine - as the source for chlorinating the pool.

It yields a more efficient use of the chlorine, so less smell and burning eyes. It also conditions the water to a comfortable PH level. These result in less irritation of eyes & skin and the water is easier on your hair. It costs less to operate and is easier to keep the pool in proper balance chemically.

When people say "saltwater" in this context it doesn't mean the same thing as in reference to ocean water. It's just shorthand for a salt system as opposed to the older chlorination method. Salt systems make a pool significantly more enjoyable to me.
