Stop and Shop-sell wine In Elizabeth, NJ?

From previous threads, it appears that stores selling wine are not conveniently located if you do not have a car. I did a map search, and it appears the closest grocery store to the hotels near the Jersey Garden Outlet Mall is a Stop and Shop on Newark AVE. I checked their web site, but could not find any info on if they sell wine. Does anyone know if they sell wine so I could stock up before the cuise from Bayonne? If so, it would be a short cab ride away. Thanks!

Those locations are not near my hotel. Depending on how early they open and how I will be getting to port, it is a possible option. Will gladly accept any other recommendations. Would prefer to get the wine the night before, if possible.

Most NJ grocery stores do not sell alcohol - search for liquor stores.

Trust me-before posting did several searches. Being unfamiliar with the neighborhoods or public transportation options, wanted to get expert opinions.

Call the hotel - I don't think that is the greatest of areas.

You will have to take a cab to a liquor store. You would tell the cab driver to take you to a larger store like Bayway World of Liquor. It doesn't open until noon on Sunday so I would go Saturday depending on when you cruise leaves.

Thank you for your advice. We arrive on a Friday, sail on a Saturday, so Sunday restrictions are not a problem for us.

Bay Way is about 10 minutes from Jersey Gardens and has a huge selection with good prices if you're looking for wine.

Does anyone know of any liquor stores that deliver? Called two and both said they do not deliver to hotels.
