Has anyone put less than 300 down. My sister and her boyfriend aren't planning on spending a lot. They prepaid service fees already so they were looking at putting like 400 total instead of 600. Is that possible

I use the prepaid deposits of $250, which can be purchased on board for $150 and expire in 4 years. And when payment in full day arrives I can just shift it to another cruise with no penalties.

We put 300 cash on account our first cruise, nothing was said, we did end up giving a credit card on the ship after a couple of days and spending a little more than planned. It was a 4 day cruise, doubt it makes a difference but...

As long as your daily service charge is paid, they will allow you to put as much or as little in your on board account as you wish. When it runs low, they will shut off your charging privileges. You can then add more. Keep an eye on how much your spending and you'll be ok.

Just got off the Gem yesterday from a 9 day cruise. We did not prepay our service charges and only put 400 on our cash account (for my DH and I). They didn't ask for a minimum or question the amount I gave at all.

yes 300.00 for the room, just 2 of us and as I said it was just 4 days on the Sky, all of our 7 day cruises we have just had a card on file with a sizable credit line
